Prof. Dr. Gerd Gigerenzer
Director of Human Development at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin since 2008 and the Harding Center for Risk Literacy in Berlin which was founded in 2009. Among others, he is a former Professor at the University of Chicago and John M. Olin Distinguished Visiting Professor, School of Law at the University of Virginia. He is also Batten Fellow at the Darden Business School, University of Virginia, and Fellow of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences (BBAW) and the German Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina). His award-winning academic books Calculated Risks: How To Know When Numbers Deceive You and Gut Feelings: The Intelligence of the Unconscious have been translated into 18 languages.

 

Prof. Dr. Ap Dijksterhuis
Professor of social psychology at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands. He was a Research Fellow of the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Science in Amsterdam and currently serves on the editorial board of the European Journal of Social Psychology. His research on the role of the unconscious in decision processes, the so-called Unconscious Thought Theory, has received media attention worldwide.

 

 

 

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Henseler
Founder and Managing Creative Director of SENSORY-MINDS, the Offenbach design studio for new media and innovative technologies. Henseler is also Professor for Digital Media at the School of Design at Pforzheim University and head of the course of studies “Intermedia Design”. He lectures in the fields of Natural User Interface Design, Design and Innovation Thinking, Social Media, Usability and User Experience. At SENSORY-MINDS, Professor Henseler is head of the areas New Media Business Strategy, Usability as well as Natural User Interface Solutions. Juergen Wieser
Juergen Wieser holds a degree in Engineering from the mining university of Leoben and, as managing director of the Austrian company Limbio Business, he examines the neuronal effect of TV commercials and advertisements using a “brain scanner” for manufacturers of brand-name products. As a “limbic coach”, he derives these findings using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) for his customers in B2B and also B2C for practical use in marketing. As honorary president of the organization Down Syndrome Austria, he has used Neuromarketing measures in order to set up a European competence centre in Styria, Austria for people with Down Syndrome.

 

Dr. Ralf Stürmer
For eight years, he held a post-doc position at the Wuppertal University Institute of Physiological Psychology during which time he spent one year as a visiting researcher in Australia. Dr. Stuermer contributed decisively to the development and differentiation of the concept of Objective Emotional Assessment which was developed at the Institute of Physiological Psychology as well as to the relevant publications. He has considerable experience and expertise in planning and performing applied research with respect to specific business customer demands.

 

 

Jennifer Schmidt
Next to her work for psyrecon GmbH, Jennifer Schmidt is currently working on her doctorate in economics with a marketing-related topic. She devoted her thesis to expanding and evaluating the concept of “Objective Emotional Assessment”. Norbert Wittmann
Chairman of the Board of Gruppe Nymphenburg Consult AG. Simon Pierro
Magician and show host, is known as one of the most successful magicians in Germany. A shell game player in New York who swindled him out of 20 dollars initially sparked his passion for magic. He then made his way from a magician’s apprentice to a master magician. In 2002, Simon Pierro laid the foundation for his charmed career as he was made German Magic Master – a title which is only bestowed every three years for outstanding achievements. This honour was followed by numerous other prizes and awards such as Magician of the Year 2002, runner-up world champion in Ordinary Magic in 2003, the Siegfried & Roy Award in Las Vegas in 2004, the Coups de Coeur Award in Monte Carlo and the Golden Rings of Lausanne. Within but a few years, Simon Pierro has received the highest honours awarded to magicians worldwide.
